I ordered this dress for a military ball. I was in a time crunch and could get it in on time. I somehow missed that it has a corset back, and may not have ordered it if I’d known. My main concern was having someone help me get into the dress, so I had our sitter arrive early to help me. I wasn’t thrilled with where it falls and cuts across the tummy rather than say higher… I prefer a babydoll style or something that falls on the hips or lower.This dress surprised me though. I ended up not noticing the cut across my tummy so much. I thought it was too tight on me at the alterations lady’s place, but I ended up having my friend tighten it even more and I was surprised that it didn’t bother me.I didn’t really like the elastic on the arms under the side sleeves, but my seamstress assured me that it was to help hold up the fabric, even though I had her sew a stitch on the sleeves to the elastic, so you couldn’t see it from the front. I didn’t like that you could see the elastic from behind (see photo).Also, the fabric across the boobs doesn’t lay completely flat like it looks on the model. When I tried the dress on at first, I wasn’t sure I was going to like it because that fabric just poked out and I thought I was going to look like Madonna. Thank goodness for my seamstress! She had all the answers!I fit in a size 8 for my chest and size 12 for waist…I took a chance and ordered a 10 and it worked out for me. I would recommend sizing up once or twice and having this dress altered to your preference! I wish I didn’t have to have it altered at all, but I ended up liking this dress better than I thought I would!I loved the train, but had a bunch of it removed so it wouldn’t get stepped on all night. The pockets were a plus, as I was able to keep my phone hands free, but on my person for when I needed it.I got tons of compliments on my dress and the color too!I would recommend! Nice dress for the price! Didn’t feel cheap at all!Definitely not a dress you can put on by yourself. Mine took a long time to get here and it was very crinkled when I tookIt out of its bag (had to buy a steamer and steam it). But it was beautiful on and made perfectly.Todo lo que buscas. It’s very nice material and very well made. I’m usually ordering stuff online and it never comes quite like they advertise but this one did. I love the color and fabric it’s so nicely made. Also has a built in bra which is great and unexpected!! It’s a tad too small but that’s my mistake I did not look at the size chart. Sizing chart is right on now I see that. I ordered the size I normally wear and should have ordered one bigger so just size up or look at the chart! Luckily my event is a couple months away and I know it will fit by then.
